This page lists every cookie ChatCums sets, what each one is for and how long it lasts. There are four, they are all ours, and none of them follows you anywhere.

What a cookie is here

A small record your browser keeps for us and sends back on your next visit. We use them for state the site has to remember between pages — whether you confirmed your age, what you answered about cookies — because a site that forgets both on every page is a site you cannot use.

The cookies we set

  • age — whether you confirmed you are an adult. Necessary: without it no thumbnail and no broadcast is shown. One year.
  • consent — your answer on this page: essential only, or all. Necessary: it is the record of your choice. Six months.
  • locale — the language you chose. Necessary for the site to come back in it. One year.
  • session — only if you created an account, and only while you are signed in. Necessary to keep you signed in. Ends when the session ends.

All four are set by chatcums.com itself, are marked so that scripts on the page cannot read them, and are not sent to anyone else.

What we do not set

No advertising cookies. No analytics cookies. No third-party cookies of any kind from us. We do not have a tag manager, a pixel or a remarketing list.

Cookies that are not ours

The broadcasting platform's player is loaded in a frame on the room page, and that platform sets its own cookies once it loads. That is why we do not load it until you have answered this page: before your answer there is no frame, and so no cookie of theirs.

If you follow a link to a broadcasting platform, you are on their site and their cookie policy applies. Ours ends at the edge of chatcums.com.

Changing your answer

Choose essential only and nothing beyond the four above is loaded — the player included. Choose all and the player loads on room pages.

To change your mind, clear this site's cookies in your browser; the question is asked again on your next visit. Your browser can also refuse cookies outright, and the site still works — it will simply ask you the same things again each time, and without the age cookie it will show no media.
